Are the cards random?
VDOGinc was founded by poker players who wanted a superb poker client that would deal cards as fairly as if you had a well shuffled deck in front of you. Unlike other sites that clearly use some type of action generator to create the card distribution, VDOG uses a random number generator to shuffle the cards... The RNG moves the cards around hundreds of times, more thoroughly shuffling than a live deck. There is no relation or weighted to be more likely to match the cards on the table or in players hands. We pride ourselves on the fact you are playing true poker. We often see in chat players mentioning it's like playing for real and none of those fake games.
You can be sure that the good and the bad beats will come at the same rate as if you were playing a live game. The bad beats are the only ones we remember though, right? Click back to the top of FAQ.

If I bring players to the site is there anything in it for me?
We might have the most awesome buddy program out there! So yes, there definitely is. Here’s the gist of it: You tell your friend, associate, acquaintance, arch-enemy, whomever how awesome VDOGpoker is to play. When your friend registers, they give you credit by entering your poker client user name in the affiliate field. The first 2 months that your affiliate is a VDOG VIP member, you will recieve $10 a month (thus up to $20 per affiliate) in membership fee credit. Sign up 3 members every 2 months and your membership dues are taken care of for the year! Click back to the top of FAQ.
How do I cancel my membership?
Why do I have a username and password for the website and one for the client?
They are 2 separate accounts because people can partake in our chat and forums and other social components without becoming a member that plays on the client. We highly recommend creating the same username and password for your VDOGpoker.com and your VDOGpoker client. It benefits you to minimally use the same username so that the people you meet playing the tournaments know who you are on VDOGpoker.com social forums. We expect that VDOG Social, Forums and Chat to grow in popularity in the long term and some almost immediately.
How are Tournament Points calculated and where can I view mine?
The formula for calculating the tournament points your receive each tournament is as follows:
Tournament Points Awarded = Total Players In Tournament - Players Still In Tournament When Eliminated + 1
So, if 100 players registered in the tournament and you go out in 3rd place you get 100 - 2 + 1 = 99 points.
You can view your Tournament Point balance in the Cashier Window of the Poker Game Client. See if you are atop of the leader board.
